The Hierarchy of Spirit, The Spiral of Light and Love, The Way

The Sun stands Still…

And the World holds its breath.

As the shadows grow longer,

And nature waits for a sign,

You wait for the moment,

The return of your Star.

You have reached the last of the Four Great Turnings in the Astrological year: In Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn you encounter the Integral four-fold questions that circumscribe your journey through the stars. In Aries you wonder, “Who am I?”; in Libra you seek to know, “Who are We?”; in Cancer you must discover, “From Where did I Come?”; and in Capricorn you seek to know the ultimate question, “What is my Destiny?”

This is the Cardinal Cross, the Four Seasons of each year and in all your lives. Each depends upon the other, and from these sacred Four Directions you find your way along this Pathway of Perfection, the Road of Illumination, the Luminous Ribbon of Light and Spiritual Love that is the Ethereal Essence forming all of Creation.

Yes, we often think we are bound to our fate, as we struggle against the weight of the past, burdened by our errors, our sins and misfortunes, our stumbles and our fears. And, as the shadows fall, as they do right now, we feel bound and circumscribed by our pitiful meagre form, and fear that our life is fated, without essential merit in an unfeeling, soulless universe which cares not for our future.

But you must know this: That the Universe is Alive, it is Spirit, and it is quite simply formed of Life and Love. You have always known this, a deep and abiding feeling that there is something more about all of this and of you. You and I are part of a Great Journey with an infinite host of other beings. From the smallest infinitesimals on up to Heavenly Lords, the entirety of this Universe is Spirit-Life and it sings and thrills with Consciousness. We are, as are all Life-Forms that form this Cosmos, travelling through this Creation in a great company, forming a Shimmering Ribbon of Light that is ever bending towards a Greater Awareness.

We are Beings of Light and Love who in our hearts and minds think of one thing in the end, we hold one thought and feeling above all the shadows and burdens of long ago…we are guided from within by a yearning, a certain knowing that there is a Destiny to all of this.

We can feel, even in our darkest moments, and most certainly shining through in our greatest triumphs too, that there is a “Leaven of Light” within, a Luminous Sparkling in the heart of one and all, that this Light stretches back through ages and ages ago, and it calls to us equally from the Future and from on High. We are all connected, backwards and forwards upon this Ribbon of Light and Love, and our Destiny is most assured. Our “North Star” is pulling us homeward, back home to the ONE, whose Center is Everywhere and whose Circumference is beyond the bounds of Space-Time.

We should not look backwards with fear or regrets at all, for we have learned in our over-coming, in our countless trials and errors, in our stumbles and falls, that this is precisely how we rose to become what we are; we are what we have become because we fell and then we got up again, and again and again. Much like the symbol of Capricorn, the goat, we climb higher, and higher, and higher...

But we did not, and cannot do this alone or for ourselves. We indeed stand upon all our own prior lives, this is most certainly true. We have made ourselves what we are (self-luminous), yet this is only because of countless others whose well-won triumphs of Soul and Spirit helped to light and lift us up too. Our triumph is theirs, and theirs is ours. We are made of one another, and all our feelings, thoughts and spiritual strengths come from our many lives lived together; we have become what we are now because we lived for one and for all. Our shared aspirations, dreams and life experiences are what has lifted one another out of the darkness and into the Light.

And know this, Greater ones than us, both in bodily forms and beyond, have always extended their hearts and hands to help us find our way. For those who have come this way know that they too were helped along this path; and, it is so with us, that we, in turn, will feel our kinship with all who follow, we will respond with Wisdom and Love, and we will help those who follow, and so on, and so on.

This is the Golden Thread of Spirit-Life-Consciousness, this is the Hierarchy of Masters and Pupils, this is the path of Light and Love…and this, this is your Destiny. This is the Portal of Capricorn; This is the Path of Mastery. This is the Wisdom of Love.

The Path of Light and Love, The River of Shining Ones is the road upon which you travel.

For some it is known as the Middle Way, or The Noble Path, or The Red Road.

But most simply and beautifully, it is simply “Tao”.

It is The Way.

It is from whence you came; and it is the way home.

It is your Destiny.

Saturn Enters Capricorn (December 19, 2017 – December 17, 2020)

The Test of Responsibility — The Way of Self-Fulfillment

For almost three years, the planet of Reality and Testing, the Planet Saturn, has been sweeping through the sign of Sagittarius, the Sign of Truth. Looking at the world today, and considering what we have come through in the past few years, one could hardly find a more fitting title for this recent period than it being, on so many levels, from the most intimate matters of personal and sexual considerations, to the most national, political and geo-political realms, this has truly been a time where we have witnessed “The Test of Truth”. The very definition of what is knowable, what is fact or fiction (like in “alternative facts”), of what is “truly true” has been the underlying as well as overarching theme for our time. It certainly seems we have all been moving through a time of great lessons, a truly “teaching moment”. But now we must take our next step…

Today we turn to the next opportunity, challenge and test from Saturn, today the lord of Manifestation and Reality moves into his very own sign of Capricorn. (The most recent times for Saturn in Capricorn have been: 1988-91, 1959-62, 1929-32…most interesting times indeed).

Saturn is the Avatar of your fundamental test or greatest challenge. But most wonderfully, (for this is how you grow), it is by this challenge and your overcoming of it that forms the substance of your spiritual growth. As much as Saturn indicates where you may stumble and fall (again and again), it is also the luminous beacon of your truest spiritual strength; Saturn, the Teacher, is here to bring forth or elicit your greatest gift of spirit.

For it is by your very stumbling into error or failures that you learn. You learn, most certainly what “not to do”; and by trial and error, by wit and will, through love and inspiration, you learn to do better and be better. Yes, your very failures are the crucible to your self-overcoming; you lift yourself and one another up as you burnish off the dross of your being to reveal the divine light shining through and through.

We can look at Saturn as the teacher or what I would call “The Blacksmith”, like in steel-making, “The Temperer” of your soul, of your Purpose and “The Keeper” of your Path of Self-Fulfillment.

Consider this: on all the planes of existence, from the Spiritual to the Mental, from the Emotional to the Physical, the “Laws of Life” operate in much the same fashion. And so, with Saturn, the teacher, we can see these parallels on each plane as it is on the physical: The development of our bones and muscles are elicited and stimulated by our exertions and physical straining, wherein the micro tearing of our muscles and other fibers leads to their very renewal/rebuilding of our bodies into ever stronger forms. We temper our bodies by pushing harder, we grow by tearing down and rebuilding. As the adage goes, “you use it or lose it”.

Well, this same principle applies to the other planes upon which you abide. Your emotional shocks and traumas, lead to the development of our greater capacity to handle these challenges in the future. And, most wonderfully, these very real pains and sufferings stimulate the growth of those spiritual feelings that make you truly human, your capacity for compassion, empathy and personal love as well.

The challenges thrown down by Intellectual competition, lead to the very development of more comprehensive and complex connections within your mind and between one another. Through mental strivings and intellectual competition, we help one another to move beyond our more limited or narrow understandings; we make possible for one another our journey to the Greater Understanding.

And likewise, the manifold and many-layered spiritual challenges you are brought to, the agonies and ecstasies of your spiritual struggles and their eventual over-coming, these are the “Spiritual Smithies” that develop your highest and finest attributes of self-sacrifice and unconditional love for one another.

All of these realms, from the physical on up to the Spiritual, and all of these tests and resulting growths, can be seen as wholly or in part brought to bear in our lives by the movement of Saturn, moving from Sign to Sign, and through the houses of your astrological chart. Saturn is the instrument of making real your potentials, of making manifest your Spiritual Destiny.

What is our Teacher asking of us now?

Whereas a planet in a Mutable Sign (like Gemini or Sagittarius) has much to do with meaning or understanding, the Cardinal Signs like Cancer or here with Saturn in Capricorn, are about Identity and Action. The question or test of Saturn in Capricorn is the Test of Position, the Test of Social Responsibility. It reveals the worthwhileness of the Hierarchies of any society and culture, the viability and strength of a civilization’s Institutions whether they be of the family or community, Civil or Corporate, local or national.

Given that we are also in this greater historical transition, of Pluto’s transit through Capricorn as well, (from 2008 to 2024, we are trying to find our way as the very substance of the world order that came into being in the late 1700’s is being broken down and transformed. And, as I have mentioned in numerous shows and blog postings, we are here to witness this end of an age and, most certainly now, to help one another birth and become The New Age), it would follow that Saturn moving into Capricorn will bring about an intensification of this challenge.

Saturn in Capricorn heralds a time of Reckoning: You must be true to yourself and to one another; you must be your truth and so rebuild your world.

Saturn in Capricorn asks you to do one thing: Be Responsible. Responsibility is founded upon one thing, a right alignment with your true self, with the Light of Love that guides your heart.

If you want to know how you should be, and where you should go, you will learn much by looking back at from whence you came. Following that very principle or reason, opposite Astrological Signs inform one another. In Cancer you find your way to meet the needs of one another in spontaneous caring: As a parent, you move without thought to meet the needs of your child, as a friend you share and shape one another’s dreams, and with your partner you find your way to unconditional love for one another.

But Capricorn calls you to fulfill the promise of Cancer, that you take what was spontaneous and pure and fold it into something that will last. You take what was felt as pure and true and embody these energy-forms into lasting structures of Customs, Traditions, Laws and Institutions. You are called by Saturn in Capricorn to be responsible to your larger social circumstances.

Saturn rules Reality; Saturn is also the dark one, revealing your “shadows of fear”. The institutions of this age are trembling, cracking and seemingly failing you…But know this, they were made by our ancestors and by every one of us. If we wish our village, town, state and nation to be these larger instruments of our self-fulfillment, then we must remember what these things are for, to bring them back to their essential spiritual foundations. And then we must be that change within ourselves, within our own hearts and minds we will make our salvation, if we are to restore and rebuild our world.

The fault lies not in our things that we have made; and the fault lies not “in our stars”. The fault and solution of our troubles lies in our own spiritual awareness and practice. The solution for our Crisis of Civilization is to be found in each and every human heart; the path of your healing this world must start with our love for one another.

Your first responsibility is to your “Self”, to understand who and what you are and go out every day and strive to be the very best of that. Then, equally and naturally, your second responsibility is to care for one another, to help your partner, child, friend and neighbor to be the very best that they can be too.

Then you must bring this re-born spirit into the very fibers of your life, into your most intimate relationships, and then into your neighborhoods, your larger communities and throughout the world.

Saturn in Capricorn reminds you that it is time…

You are here for thing: “To be Fulfilled”.

You cannot do this if we do not do that for one and for all.

Extend a helping hand to those who follow behind you,

For you have been where they struggle now.

And look ahead and feel in your heart for those Great Ones who came this way before,

And know this, they will ever extend their helping hand to you too.

The Hierarchy of Light and Love was, is and will forever thrill through One and for All.

For Spirit is Life; and Life is Spirit made real.

Forged from many into One, you will reveal the Light that forever shines.

Together, we will walk in brighter days,

Together, we will be the Dawning Light,

Together, we will be builders of a brand New Age.

Today’s show will consider the significance of Saturn moving from sign to sign, with a particular focus upon the present shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn, which will occur on December 19^th, 2017 and continue until December 17, 2020.

Saturn is the Avatar of your fundamental test or greatest challenge. But most wonderfully, (for this is how you grow), it is by this challenge and your overcoming of it that forms the substance of your spiritual growth. As much as Saturn indicates where you may stumble and fall (again and again), it will become the luminous beacon of your truest spiritual strength; Saturn, the Teacher, is here to bring forth or elicit your greatest gift of spirit.

We will look at Saturn in the Twelve Signs of the Zodiac, and focus upon this shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn. For having considered for over two years the question, “What is Truth?”, now you need to bring this Truth into your life. It is not enough to know the truth; you are here to become this Truth.

Mercury Turns Retrograde (December 2-3, 2017 – December 22, 2017)

The Way to Wisdom

Mercury turns retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius, (@29 degrees, 18 minutes) on December 2-3, and will turn direct in Sagittarius (@13 degrees) on December 22. It is that time once again to turn your mind around, to be more inwardly attentive and pensive. Mercury retrograde is a wonderful opportunity to re-consider your perceptions, assumptions and thoughts; it is time to clear your mind of clutter once again.

As always, since everyone else will be similarly altered in their balance between outward attentiveness and inward consciousness, it will be even more important to carefully listen to one another and to communicate with them more carefully. Though miscommunications happen every day, Mercury retrograde can often foster a multiplicity of misunderstandings. The result can be a series of missteps and miscues that can turn small errors into bigger and bigger mistakes, and it can lead to great damage for your relationships. The stress of errors builds within you, and between one another, and you (or they) may find your tolerance and composure erode as you stumble into conflict.

During Mercury retrograde, you will certainly need to adopt a more forgiving attitude for yourself (and for one another), as these missteps multiply and frustrations mount. With Mercury retrograde, it will be even more important for you to practice self-forgiveness, and equally extend your forgiveness towards others.

Remember, all of this is not the “fault” of Mercury, it is merely because most of us do not remember, perceive or understand what is happening; we tend to carry on each day as we did the day before, unaware of the changes that are constantly unfolding through the Energy-Forms of Mercury.

Truly, Mercury retrograde should really be understood as a precious gift of the spirit, as it encourages you to become ever more self-reflective and self-corrective. It is one of the principal means by which you will move towards greater self-mastery. You will know this self-mastery is real when your growth in Wisdom is proportionally matched by your deepening sense of Humility too. Mercury retrograde brings you an opportunity to make improvements/corrections in your consciousness, which is essential to your forging a better understanding of yourself and of one another.

The entire retrograde takes place in the Sign of Sagittarius, so the focus of your renewal of awareness will most certainly be upon the very nature of Truth and Understanding. You will need to re-consider the vessels of meaning that shape your beliefs, that form and inform your “facts”. Whether by Religion or Science, Faith or Reason, the reality you are attempting to navigate depends upon your level of spiritual consciousness, and then you must align your understanding with those with whom you journey.

Most misunderstandings arise from an incomplete foundation of shared principles, foundations and essential truths. As a result, the very “facts” that each party may hold cannot be aligned or agreed upon. The questions boil down to what is really “real”.

To help to overcome these mutual misperceptions, follow the lead offered in Sagittarius and expand your perceptional frames of reference. Look first and foremost to the Ancient Wisdom found at the heart of every Religion; and the Logic and Reason in the vast treasury of Philosophies and Sciences. Be humble, as you walk upon an ancient road; countless others have come this way before you. Many questions have been asked, and answered. So, look to the Wise Ones for inspiration, guidance and peace of mind.

With these ancient certainties providing some common base of context, it is best to step back and re-consider the present source of discord. Try to start from some fundamental truth or principle and build upon that. Establish common centers and boundaries to hold your thoughts in concert with one another. Then see where the misunderstandings arise in the areas of your unshared considerations. Bring matters to a fuller illumination by reducing the fog of false assumptions or false facts.

You are here to help one another in so many ways. One way is by shining a light upon one another’s blind-spots, those self-cast shadows which often ensnare one or both of you in bubbles of self-confirming errors of assumptions. You are here for one another, and your awareness and wisdom come precisely through your providing a little more light, by illuminating what is really “real” for one another.

This is precisely how you lift your awareness for one another. Remember, the very word “Consciousness” means “Together-Knowing”, and it is only by being a light to one another that you can lift one another up to a more inclusive understanding. Only together can you advance upon the Path of Wisdom, as you dispel the shadows and fogs of fear and bring one another closer to the everlasting Light.

Give thanks to Mercury, the messenger of the gods, who reminds you that your journey requires that you constantly strive to illuminate the dark spaces in your own mind, and that you can only do this by helping one another too.

Remember to first question yourself; then ask questions of one another.

Be what you are, be a light for one another.

Remove the shadows of fear, those dim-lit echoes of your past misunderstandings.

Bow to the Wise Ones who came this way before.

Follow their example of Humility and Grace.

Be open, be humble and you will perceive the Light.

And together you will move along the Path of Wisdom and Love.
